Jill Wieder of Purlygirl Knits has taken a traditional art form to a whole new level. The sophisticated colors and lush textures of her one-of-a-kind hand knit pieces can transform any outfit into something special.

Two to four strands are intermingled into each stitch, which contain combinations of wool, silk, cotton, mohair and synthetic yarns. A completed piece may contain up to 25 different fibers. Once the knitting is complete, the finishing touches follow. Each Purlygirl Knit is embellished with recycled materials such as vintage buttons, old jewelry, leather or felted wool fabric, which add more dimension, depth and personality to each creation.

Purlygirl Knits can be (dare we say) practical as well! The headbands can double as neckwarmers, the handwarmers can be worn by themselves or over full gloves for extra warmth. Many of the hats can be put on back to front and the scarves can be tied in various configurations.

Smart, chic, urban or edgy, each Purlygirl Knit reflects the individuality of the people who wear them.

Any piece can be made to order. Custom colors and personal or meaningful embellishments can be incorporated.
